Its convenient when anything that remotely challenges the elites is eventually taken over by moral grandstanding lefties who end up controlling everything and start ostracizing anyone who isn't completely in tune with their radical beliefs, odd how this happens time and time again.Punk rock got hollowed out and co-opted by the left like 20+ years ago during the "Rock against Bush" crap. It always leaned left going back to Thatcher and Reagan but there was some political diversity and RW punk bands. Most bands didn't give a fuck about politics either back then which was based. The same isn't really true now punk is quite political. It's actually weirdly similar to what happened to Anonymous where a group that was mainly about trolling and pissing people off got taken over by do gooders who wanted to make it into a social justice cause. It's just a shambling corpse with a Mohawk and a black lives matter t-shirt at this point. Anything that made it originally shocking or edgy is long, long gone. It's based on the work of Jonathan Haidt, a social psychologist that published the results in "The Righteous Mind".
He found that when conservatives were asked to answer questions about the moral beliefs and vice versa, liberals knowledge of conservative values was much more limited.

Random thought and only tangentially related to reddit but Trump going on about celebrities like Taylor Swift or Rosie or whoever is some cringe embarrassing shit of the same game but worse than the redditor sweeney or other villain of the day obsession imo. Trump has some other embarrassing redditor qualities with boomer spice on top that I really wish he'd drop too.

Except half the things he's ever done has been to drum up controversy and get people to talk about him - and its worked. He himself has been a celebrity shit-stirrer for almost half a century now and that's partially responsible for getting him into the Whitehouse twice now.

r/falloutmemes is currently being vandalized by mad troons after a mod put up a "no politics" rule to prevent trannies from spamming the sub with trannified Fallout memes.
