So the only moderator for r/AmericaBad, one of the few good subs, was banned today. Not suspended. Perma banned. His account has no history of any sort of bad behavior, and he believes the ban stems from him reporting a mod of another server acting in bad faith.

This leaves americabad without moderation, which leaves it subject to being removed for not having any. Funny how well that works out for reddit, isn't it?

Yeah, that's how Reddit admins do it unless AHS troons on throwaway accounts flood a sub they don't like with CP to get it banned. I don't doubt they'll do the same thing r/PoliticalCompassMemes eventually, which is I would say the actual last "good" sub.

I've noticed the same and I think it's that the lockdowns pushed a lot of them over the edge. Maybe before they had some bad habits but were young and unformed and could have gone either way. But confined to the basement eating grubhub for two years and gaining 80 lbs was the fatal blow both to mental and physical health to a lot of them.

I remember. They were being so hilariously brazen about it too. One of the subs had a net neutrality post with almost twice as many upvotes as there were members of the sub.

Damnit, this thread has just had me fuming lately. Reading about gravitationally significant pieces of shit like this while a couple of my close acquaintances are/ were stuck in endless healthcare queues just makes me angry in a way that I can't even force myself to enjoy.

On that note fuck sexpositivehomes. How do some of those people sleep at night? Even if it's all fiction which I assume (and hope) that it is, they're still greasy porn damaged ogres sharing abuse fantasies. Ontologically disgusting. This thread is just as cursed as the wikipedo thread if not even moreso.

Does anyone remember that slew of drama brought about by a guy analysing escape from tarkov (a supremely autistic online shooter)- it's netcode/ tick and presenting his findings on reddit? The results being that the netcode was (is?) far, far lower than assumed even by pessimists, and wildly inconsistent at that. Iirc he also posted some packet sniffing tool and/ or findings regarding player peaks and players online and was then promply banned both on reddit and by eft devs.

It's foggy but I think the sub consensus was pretty much split. There's an acute sense of dev pandering on reddit, as is the case on most if not all subreddits related to video games. I think, but I could be wrong, that the main dev Nikita went full retard and had a public spat with the guy across different online forums. Nikita did this for certain with someone I'm just not 100% it's the same guy that analysed the netcode.

I wish I knew his name. Seems most of this has been purged.

I mean based on the gameplay reveals it kind of looks like a mix of Phantasy Star Online and Dragon's Dogma with a Harry Potter skin.

It looks cool and I'll probably check it out despite thinking the source material is poorly written tripe for autistic children. Making troons and redditors seeth is just a bonus.
