Rich is definitely a big component of BotW and why those episodes worked (specifically him being Mike's punching bag), but so was Jesse and they had no problem dropping her like a rock.

God yes. By my understanding Harry Plinkett is Rich and Mike's creation from long before rlm. Mike's criticised idiots who call rich "fake Plinkett" because Rich's portrayal predates rlm by a considerable margin.

Rich is a great straight man to bounce ideas and jokes off of and can dive off into wild bushes when called upon.
