Also it’s funny this is a Zardoz episode because I got my dad into RLM despite him not liking weird obscure schlock movies, but he has always been fascinated with Zardoz despite not liking weird obscure schlock movies.
Is Zardoz actually schlock? I saw that scene with the giant head and the horses and thought it would be and was really disappointed when I finally saw it. It was very boring and pretentious hippie claptrap, more like an arthouse flick.

If it’s appreciable for the reasons outside the intent of the author, then it’s schlock. If we want to be pedantic, it was cheap to film (cheaper than Deliverance) and looks every penny of it, which would be the non-colloquial definition of schlock.
