I don’t even think I could answer any of these questions despite watching hundreds of horror movies because I’m not Gen X obsessed with 80s pop culture like Child’s Play and Halloween.

Kindred: The Embraced is very low budget and probably disappointing for people who are into World Of Darkness. I didn't mind it, but it reeeaaally lacks special effects and cool locations. Doakes from Dexter's in it, too.

I really love him in those. He's like opposite of Jack Quaid. He's funny and just fun to see in things like this and BOTW. Quaid is better for Re:view where he has a good amount of knowledge.

Either are far better than Beardfat of course.

Tellingly, no one called Mike on the question, which arguably should have been voided since the wrong year is misleading and Ira Levin did have a 1970s horror adaptation -- The Stepford Wives.

Yeah for sure. He was joking, I hope, on not remembering the title of the game, but he couldn't keep up with the points or whose turn it was constantly and that looked for sure like dementia.
 
I like the trivia shows even when (or maybe especially when) I don't know the subject matter like this one. It really took them a long while to get rolling, though.

A couple things I'll never understand about these episodes:

- Why do they just eyeball the buzzers? They bought the stupid toy ones that just make a noise (and probably don't even have batteries in them so they can add the sound effects later in post), but you can buy an inexpensive system that'll show you who buzzed in first... y'know, the whole point of the buzzer.

- Why do both players always wager everything on the final round? In this case, the game was what Jeopardy nerds call a "runaway" in which Jay had more than double Josh's points. The game was over before Final Jeopardy. Jay could have wagered 0 and still won no matter whether Josh got it right or not. Yeah, I get that they want it to be exciting, but having players actively work against their own interests isn't the way to do it.

Maybe Mike was serious when he said 'this isn't supposed to be fun'. But you'd think they'd try to have some sense of competition for real. Having a bet it all at the end makes no sense if there's no real money or stakes involved really at all.

He seemed legit upset and cranky when they'd go off on funny/informative tangents which is where most of the interesting stuff is.

Yeah I know it's a 'bit' but I think he's getting more and more dementia-style irritated all the time too now. It's ok, but he just seems more sincere with it lately.

Probably one of their more enjoyable videos in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised by how many questions I could actually answer.
