Space Cop has a painful act 2.
Nothing fucking happens for 45 minutes in the middle of the movie.

I kind of like act 1 of Space Cop.
The movie's quality drops significantly after the scene where Rich can't chase Jay because he has pop up ads cover up his vision.

The gag with Rich flatly framed inputting a sixty digit code to unlock his refrigerator seemed like something the Family Guy writers' room would throw away.

That joke was indeed one of Mikes. He explained in a video a while ago that he's a big fan of nonemedy and that was his little ode to it.

I don’t understand why they don’t do a small anthology series. That way they’re not tied to an entire movie like Stuckman, or have to go down the SC rabbit hole again. 3 episodes, maybe one horror, one sci-fi, and one mix.

They might even be able to cash in some of those Hollywood asskisser bucks for a streaming platform distributer.

I understand making movies is miserable, but if it was my passion, and I had their money and connections, there’s no way I’d never do it again in some form.

If you want to make something good, there will be a grind to it.

You know.... that's not a bad idea to do like an anthology movie and let a bunch of youtubers contribute shorts to it. With any luck we'd get something real gonzo out of it.

I enjoyed the movie and the effort behind it. Would love to see more of space cop or a different genre. Or more of their documentaries. Stuff that actually requires minimal effort, especially from them, is at least four times better than their regular output.

Part of me thinks it's Richards health issues that may be preventing them from doing anything slightly difficult.

In all honesty a sincere movie effort from them would be appreciated by a good number of people. The problem is 1) they’re gen-Xers so they are fucking allergic to sincerity and 2) they know exactly the type of jokes that would arise from any lack of capability because they’ve been making them for the past fifteen years.

I've never enjoyed RLM's movie reviews - partly because I just don't care about what's coming out in theaters, partially because they're hackfrauds - but I love Best of the Worst. It's a poor man's MST3K and they're generally pretty rewatchable.

Also total Lucas victory. Mike might have gone too far in a few places.

I didn’t watch Space Cop because it looks as terrible as it apparently is, but I watched and enjoyed Feeding Frenzy. If FF had an outside co-writer to temper the in-jokes, and some fanboy bux thrown at it, it could have been an actual movie.

Brother, he's still taking it up the tailpipe from Disney. His legacy has become more of a parody because of his decision to sell than RLM could have ever made out of the prequels. Star Wars is nothing but a vehicle for The Acolyte and Pedro Pascal. History has vindicated the prequels, perhaps, but it sure has not vindicated George.

If that's total victory we should all aspire to defeat.

He "moved on" by selling his oeuvre into perpetual sodomy. No one knows or cares what he has done since that- they only know that George Lucas = Star Wars, and Star Wars = raped slop. This is a situation he engineered. Frankly, judging by some of the projects he greenlit in the waning days of the LucasArts era, it may be what he wanted, so I suppose you can make the argument that he's not taking it up the tailpipe in the sense that you can't rape the willing.
