It's CA, GUARANTEE you can find a ton of better looking, much more talented actresses out there who would work for the same fee, or even for less or free. She HAS to have a line on cash, there is no other explanation unless somehow she's considered some kind of b-movie star? Like, people hire the guy who played Jason in one of the Friday the 13ths (not even Kane Hodder) and will tout the big star they're bringing in. Even worse people will bring in the zombie who gets killed with the machete in Dawn of the Dead and use him as star power. So maybe she's kind of factored in now.
yeah in CA you can throw a rock in any direction and hit a woman who is desperate for an acting job. she has to have cash or some connection like to a b-movie producer or something. i dont see the star power, or if she has it, it is lost on me. so it has to be a connection or putting out, i dont see any other reason.

I never got this about nu Trek, isn't the federation a supposedly Socialist paradise with very few moral failings? Is it the usual case of the new writers knowing nothing about the setting and just assume the party with most authority is evil by default, or is it that nothing is ever good enough for these people?
Socialism is so fucked it turns evil even in fiction written by socialists.

That is...cursed.

It’s just poor writing. DS9 showed the darker side of the Federation and the Star Trek world in general, but it was infinitely better written than the dreck they’ve made recently.

thanks. but even after skimming the wikipedia article i have no idea who this guy is or why it would be cursed for rich to meet him. i originally thought he might be a guy related to nu-trek, which would be a cursed meting.
The guy who does Zero Punctuation.
Not sure about the cursedness either.

It's kind of appropriate, since Rich and Jack used to do that show about games, so they have something in common with Yahtzee.

The overuse of Wil Wheaton this video was great, and Rich’s “I don’t give a shit” response will be a new meme for him. Good review.
