Recommend noise canceling headphones

My Bose QC45s died way too early. Looking for a new pair. Don't really care about amazing sound like you are at the concert as much as being able to watch movies on the flight and not have to hear the engines, squealing babies, and trannies.

Try Beats Studio Buds or AirPods 2. They have noise cancellation features. I used them one time during a loud event; they practically muffled the sound.

I have very sensitive ears. I recommend earplugs and over the ear headphones. I have some jlab anc that have a long battery life.

The bass isn't good but you said you don't care about that.

I'd actually never thought about this for listening to music, but I do something similar when shooting. Gunshots, even through some suppressors, really aggravate my tinitus. I use a pair of soft plugs and electronic earmuffs over top. I can hear everything around me at a normal level when I crank the muffs up to max volume. I works fantastically and I've been doing it for nearly 20 years.

My shooting muffs have an input for comms, but unfortunately it's only mono or I could just use them and look like a fucking psycho at the gym.

It won't provide a pure listening experience, but if you already know the song it's fine. Foam works better for music purity but it squishes my earwax and eventually makes me dizzy. I like silicone since it doesn't do that.

I've been using Sony WH-1000XM4 for 2 years now. They are great. The battery life is also just as good as when I bought them and I've been using them everyday.

I have a cheaper pair of Sonys (WH-CH720N), and the noise cancelation is okay but they're comfortable and the battery life is excellent. For more effective noise cancelation, I have a pair of Raycon fitness earbuds. The battery life isn't nearly as good, but they're comfortable (I often sleep with them in because my upstairs neighbors like to act like niggers) and stay in well, and the noise cancelation is very good.

Oh I also forgot to mention. The noise cancellation is so good that I didn't hear the police banging on the door. I only noticed it when they had forcefully entered.

I have XM5s, and second the recommendation.

Sony has the rest of the industry beaten so bad with noise cancelling these days that it's almost totally unfair to compare anyone else to them.

shure se115's are my go to airplane earbuds, they don't do active noise cancellation, but they do a great deal of muffling every fucking thing around you.
