Yeah, I know. "Just build it, fucker." I know. I need one kind of soon-ish. Don't want to build. At least right now.

I'm just looking for an Intel machine with around 24 gigs of ram, a good video card that can handle Elden Ring and the new Doom at 1080P/60. No 4K whatsoever. I intend to build a machine to do that later.

Why Intel? Because I want to fuck around with those offline ai image/video generators.

Unless I missed something groundbreaking, you need a GPU for that (and it better be nvidia). 12GB vram is enough for image, 24GB if you want to do video generation.

As for

If you want 1080p/60 performance look for a 16GB machine and replace/add RAM yourself, you'll find cheaper options that way

It's mostly for image. You can use other programs online for video.

And where might I find one?

Iirc some models are intended to run more on the CPU than GPU. Image models n stuff are probably GPU-reliant, but some text models are parbly CPU-reliant.
Yes, that doesn't concern image generation, language models requires much more memory in comparison. GGML lets you use CPU for text models, it's very sluggish on dense models but it works. It's a popular choice since RAM is cheaper than shelling out thousands on GPUs. Meanwhile 1 GPU is enough for images.

If it's just temporary then buy a used Dell office machine, a GPU, a power supply and some RAM. When you're building your own just reuse the GPU, power supply and (maybe, it's probably DDR4) RAM and toss the Dell.

why even bother asking for advice if youre gonna stipulate that you only want bad advice like a retard?
youre asking to burn probably at least a thousand dollars on shitty overpriced parts to accompany a halfway decent gpu in a prebuilt, which is the really important part you cant cheap out on for your intended usage, and the one characteristic of prebuilts is that they are almost always misconfigured and usually the included gpu is a piece of shit which will bottleneck you.

It's "You're."

Then get an AMD CPU with a Nvidia GPU that has as much VRAM as your budget can afford. The CPU isn't as relevant with the image generation stuff and CPU compatibility is just as good between Intel and AMD for that purpose. Intel is so trash now that their current generation performs worse than the previous, and the previous generation silicon was self destructing for over a year before they did anything about it.

I'd reconsider a pre-built as they're usually so poorly built that you'll want to tear it apart and put it back together to deal with all the stupid mistakes made.
