you use discord publicly ?

I just use it as free server storage all my fucked webms are on a single man discord.

I remember a couple years ago they basically CTRL+F'd the database for "Trump" and killed off any pro-Trump servers, banning admins and casting Trump fags off into the ether.

You people oughta be smart enough to know better than to use this bullshit. I hope you at least run the web version so they can't spy on every single thing you have on your PC and upload it to China.
 
I remember getting a warning from discord because i joined a controversial nft server. The warning felt like a threat. Why would they threaten me to delete my account just because i joined a racist server??? I didn't even say slurs in that server, not even rw politics.

i just use other messenger applications instead. I only use Discord for communicating to developers overseas, that's it.
 
I've been in the same server for 6 years saying nigger every day and haven't been banned yet.
 
I use it for chats and streams with friends only, but god help you if you are in a semi-public server with more than a dozen people, at that point you're basically asking to get banned. If you wanna get spicy, use FOSS to do so.

EFNet - it's the only network that refused to implement modern features such as NickServ. It's ended up as the gathering place of internet oldheads, hackers, and people who prefer IRC culture from the mid 2000s and back. It's one of the last places that still feels like the old internet tbh

Ban waves coming to all of your favorite platforms. That being said, whilst the more mainstream platforms are shoring up, alternative platforms like D Live are loosening up. IMO all of these social media companies are beginning to adopt the "election season" posture, as mot to draw ire from their masters in government . Im also anticipating all kinds of riff raff on platforms owned by china/ chinese nationals. Election season provides an opportunity to collect a massive amount of very valuable politically fueled data.
 
Anytime I use Discord I just assume anything I say can and will be read through by prying eyes. God forbid the nigger word detection flags my messages for review. I speak in code with a friend and we call them "Burlingtons" as an inside joke.
