There's going to be a green comet flying by, tomorrow, visible to the naked eye (February 1st, 2023). It only shows up every 50,000 years.

Interesting, do you know what time it will be visible? In the European hemisphere?

Our skies have been clear as of late, but I'm still expecting surprise clouds to show up tomorrow night like the previous times a comet has flown by in the Northern Hemisphere.

Guardian article quotes some British astronomer who says to look to the north around Polaris after midnight tomorrow. It'll move towards Taurus afterwards.

I just did some cursory research on it because I wanted to know if I could see it in the US. Apparently it'll be visible to anyone in the Northern hemisphere with a clear enough sky to see it. I'm definitely going to try to drive out into the countryside tomorrow night and try to get some pics if the sky isn't too cloudy.

Btw it's not expected to be a bright comet like Hale-Bopp or even Neowise were, so for best results, get binoculars or a telescope.

From what I can find, it'll be visible tomorrow night and the night after, towards the North Star/Polaris.

I can't see it, there's just enough light pollution/we're too low in altitude to see it right. I know the spot it's in, but that spot for whatever reason is just dark, not a lot of stars poking through, and certainly not the comet.
