Tumblr has been desperately trying to make money for years, the most recent attempts being the broken-ass audio ads that looped endlessly, and now this.
So recently, Tumblr started putting ads on people's actual blogs - which has generally been regarded as a bad idea and made a lot of people angry (with apologies to Douglas Adams).
Frankly though, this is proof that Tumblr's ad staff currently doesn't fucking understand marketing at all or their userbase. If you're going to instigate a radical change like ads on actual personal blogs you: A) Ensure it actually works right before you do; otherwise you end up with shit like the broken audio ads on the dash that were loud and annoying and looped nonstop (and in this case the on-blog ads still didn't work as they broke a huge number of custom themes). And B) You at least make an announcement that you're making such a change, so people are prepared and can expect/come to accept said change (even if grudgingly), rather than just forcing it on people.
Even so, the amount of entitlement these little shits have that they think they deserve to profit off the ads that the site is trying to use to keep afloat (a site they get to use FOR FREE I MIGHT ADD), like their special snowflake ranting bullshit and fanshit is of value to anyone other than themselves, is just astounding.
Frankly, the staff is as incompetent as its users.
It's called having a preference, you fucking idiots.
What's worse is that these same morons then complain about no white guys going after them and call them racists.
I really wonder how these asswipes act towards light skinned black people. Especially black people with skin so light they can pass as being white.

From what I've seen on Tumblr, light skinned black people can't talk about certain things. People with super dark skin are way, way more accepted by Tumblr as innocent beings who can do nothing wrong.
I've seen people call out Beyonce forbcertain things because she's a light skinned black woman for example. Drake too, if you want a weird example.

Am I racist for hating dreads on anybody? I remember in boot camp all the guys who had dreads had them shaved off and it was a horror show. Pus and blood running down the backs of their heads and necks, whites and blacks both. Just eurgh, nono no.

It's meant to be for people with eating disorders, but honestly it's not going to do anything. Something like an in depth description of eating and how fat it made you feel maybe, but literally saying the word 'burger' or something aint gon trigger shit.
