You're not oppressed for having a best friend. You can literally just say "Oh yeah I married my best friend." and people will be like "Ok whatever."
But let me address a few things.
Adding friends to your insurance plan could lead to a lot of fraud.
You can give your friends custody of your children. That's called being a godparent. Heck, you can even just name them on your will. Amazing.
People can just lie when they come to visit? Say they're your cousin or something, jeez.
