EDIT: I just saw that they claim to be "demi-romantic" which means that they won't fall in love until they know someone really well first. Which is generally how romance tends to work.

I remember back when I and left wing friends would make fun of right wing idiots too stupid to recognize obvious sarcasm who would fall for articles in The Onion and take them seriously.

This was not that long ago.

And most of these were fucking old people, the kind of relatives you have in your family who used to forward emails from AOL. They had the excuse of being old and new to the Internet.

And now, even most of these old loons have figured out not everything they get in email is true. Some of them even check Snopes now.

Now, it's fucking kids who grew up on the goddamn Internet too fucking dumb to realize most of it is utter bullshit. And they are a fucking embarrassment to humanity.

It's depressing.

Tumblr seems to go through phases of what mental illness they all collectively have. I think autism came first (and then never left), then depression/anxiety, and then once people got sick of not being unique enough to get special depression asspats, they moved onto BPD. Eventually they'll get bored of BPD and move onto something else. If the tags are any indicator, the next big one might be Histrionic Personality Disorder. A lot of people in that tag claim to have it in addition to BPD.
