It's one of the most ethnically homogeneous places on earth. You're seen as a foreigner if one of your grandparents wasn't Japanese.

The only thing whatever-americans have of their heritage is their skin/traits, because everything else is just american. They speak english and have a point of view that is only american. Even if they still follow their heritage traditions/religion, it's an american version of it.

Dude, there is a surprisingly large community of adults who collect Monster High dolls. They're mostly women.

Admittedly, they're pretty cool for dolls, and something I probably would have liked as a little girl, despite not being big into fashion dolls.
