Dogs can be racist, though. I knew someone with a dog that hated black people and would go completely apeshit at the sight or even scent of them.

Dogs pick up on very subtle social cues about the kind of people their owners might be wary of. Or it's possible that dogs are wary of people who look similar to people that might have hurt them.
I've known dogs who were rescues that just hated men. Could not stand them. Had no problem with women, though.

The dude who owned the dog wasn't a racist, though. It was a rescue dog, so was probably abused by black people at some point.

My friend's dog fucking hates Mexicans, which is funny considering that my friend's dad is best friends with a Mexican dude, and my friend is close friends with said Mexican dude's son.
The dog doesn't really like anyone, to be fair, but just Mexicans especially and for no apparent reason.

dogs can become un-prejudiced after some good experiences with people they would have previously been prejudiced against. people can become sour, dogs can become sour. both can learn the past is the past and not everyone is bad.
I met a dog that apparently 'hated fat people' but she seemed cool with chubby people. i guess it was 300lb people the dog had problems with. pretty foggy about what they hate, huh.
