The "problem" with Patreon is that people can pledge money at any point during the month, but they won't be charged until the end of the month. So it would probably end up becoming a recurring cycle of people pledging a ton of money, then canceling the pledge right before payday.

Now, would this be funny? Absolutely. But since Chris has had a similar experience with eBay, he might wise up to it more quickly.

I don't know a lot about Patreon, or Chris's in particular but isn't there an option to charge upfront to avoid this? Anyone know if Chris does that?

Patreon had to switch to that option due to a shit ton of people skipping out on payments.

I don't think Chris likes Kingdom Hearts. I've only seen that he has the first game, so he probably a) Never played it or b) didn't care to pursue it any further.

It's not meant to be supplementary. That would be SSI. Chris receives SSDI.

All patreons now have the upfront charge. Also you can't change your pledge tier without making up the difference of the new pledge for the current month's charge. So you can't pledge 1$ to chris then change it to 100$ to make it look like Chris is getting a more. You will be charge 99$ to change it.

Funny enough, DSP's trolls still haven't realized this, and you have them do some absolutely stupid shit to troll DSP. Chris hasn't really had the problem, but refuses to update his Patreon and is now just outright ignoring his backers while pledging to others on the service.
