Considering how destitute 14BC is right now, in what ways are Chris and Borb going to be affected when they move back in? I recall Skyraider saying that the house was in extremely bad shape and that there might have been black mold inside. Their health is already extremely poor as is. Their return will only exacerbate that if I had to guess.

I wonder if things would have been different for Chris if he had grown up even just an hour from where he did, in Washington DC. Or a community like Virginia Beach. Since the areas that he lived in tended to be filled with people like Barb and Bob, I'd imagine they'd be under much more scrutiny in a place where their...um..."folksy" way of handling their autistic child wasn't the norm.

Bob and Barb would still be Bob and Barb. They relocated Chris to another county because Greene County was having none of their shit. I imagine it would have played out the same anywhere.

But Bob and Barb wouldn't have been around people who were LIKE them. They would have been around people that would have forced them to do things. Who am I kidding? They would have moved away.

So, two "friends" of his we don't discuss, and for good reason. Anna hasn't posted in a long time. Aside from Kim and Soul Mario, does he have any friends he interacts with on Facebook?

[REDACTED] Whats-his-face, although I'm not sure if he interacts with Chris as much as he "gives perfectly valid advice and provides conversational openers which Chris ignores as those things don't bring him immediate satisfaction".

I wrote an "attraction letter" to a girl when I was 16. And even then it was interpreted as bizarre. I was overly inspired by The Dead Poets Society.
What is an Attraction Letter? A loveletter where you stated that you feel fond of someone, basically a love-confession in literary form? Doesn't sound that bad to me. Especially since that's kind of the MO in certain societies. Iguess any way of showing affection is going to be seen as bizarre when the other person in question doesn't share the feelings.

However loitering in a mall with a piece of cardboard stating you want to date girls is on a completely different page...

Yeah, kind of. I never wrote that loved her, I just had a crush on her, and the letter was talking about the things about her I liked, in a lyrical way. (Nothing sexual of course.) She told me she thought it was sweet, but I think that was to spare my feelings of being embarrassed, because everyone else was making fun of the situation because it was a pretty archaic/unorthodox thing to do. What can I say? I was a teenager, and teenagers can be awkward as hell sometimes.

But yeah I never advertised myself in a mall or anything, thank God.

The attraction sign is dumb only by convention.

There isn't a fundamental reason it is different from his OKCupid profile. He is publicly announcing "I am single and looking for a girl to date. Let me know if you are interested". Similarly, he could go to a singles event or speed-dating or anything like that and imply the same public announcement. Even hanging out in a public place can work. As a smoker, I frequent smoking areas. I have met a lot of fellow nicotine enthusiasts that way, and it has occassionally led to dates.

So why is the sign weird? Mostly just because that is not how people do things. There are societal norms about how you find a partner. It is silly to go too far outside of those societal norms, because any potential partner is probably acting within the societal norms.

It is typical of Chris that the flaw in his logic is basic comprehension of other people's actions. And typical that he persists with that flawed logic for years despite mounting evidence that it is flawed.
