I'll be forever be sad they took the Wiesel out of service (edit: scratch that, it is going to be in use for the next decade at least, it seems). It's a very versatile, quick and useful vehicle. It can act as a scout, it can be armed with a 20mm machine cannon as above, it can be armed with TOW missiles, it can be used as a light APC, it can be used as an ambulance... It's obviously not built to go toe-to-toe with an MBT, but they are cheap and easy to transport.

Funny story about tank maintenance in Germany, when everything is done, they need to test the tank by accelerating to top-speed, brake and drive in an 8-pattern to check everything works as intended. On pavement and with enough space, it can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. A friend of mine worked in an armory and every couple days, they'd hear the tank-maintenance guy doing the test runs with a Wiesel, which sounded like a racecar doing burnouts next to their building. When that guy retired, they gave him a tiny model of a Wiesel painted in Ferrari-red as a farewell gift.

The photo comes from a VOX or VICE (aren't they the same thing) article from several years back and seems to imply they're arming and training.

The reality is she rented an Uzi at a gun range and could never afford that gun it's probably $15,000+
