Coon post, just because they are amazing dufus cats... This is my Coon, and she is royal, and brushed every day.
She even helped with my VE day celebrations. Didn't clap though... She is not into politics, she's into mouses, bits of string and watching the bird feeders.
edit: and not ever catching a bird... (I like that, No half dead birds or frogs in my kitchen is a bonus). She really needs a brush at least once a day though but that's what she is and i love her to bits...
If anyone has a longhair, brush them everyday if you can, (they love it) and do the malt paste trick too. (put it on their paws so they have to lick it off) - not in their food, because cats are fussy, but will also clean themselves if they have stuff on their paws, and job done..
End result: No hairballs and all the rest of it... Win Win.
