Marathon is so fucking good and the fact so few people talk about it is giving me a harlan ellison-esk crisis on whether every great work is doomed to be overshadowed by the shiny and new.

I remember playing the second game on my brothers computer. I wasn't good enough to make it far -- I think I was filtered by one of the early-mid levels where you meet those cloaked aliens that shoot energy out of their chest.

I was a bit sp00ked out by those cyborgs with the tank wheels as well.
