I thought Crash Mode was a standard from Burnout since its inception. You know, intentionally causing high speed crashes to rack up points. Even so, why incorporate high speed racing on highways with traffic around you?

Do you know how utterly boring high speed racing on highways is without traffic?
You got even wide roads, very gentle and huge turns, no chicanes or obstacles, only gradual elevation changes at best

I've been dicking around in Forza Motorsport 2023. Mostly just free play and renting cars. The audio design with a surround sound system especially on Fujima with those tunnels is really good. I feel like the game has gotten a lot better since it came out last I played it.

Nacon posted a Solar Club letter for June, talking about dodging player's demands for an Offline mode, and the upcoming Casino in Season 4.
The Casino will only launch with ONE game (Slots, and they said "more games" will be added later), converting casino winnings into credits will only be added at a later date, and the Casino will not be available in some countries due to anti-gambling laws. Since there's an exclusive car only obtainable by playing the Casino (Mercedes AMG GT), it will be UNOBTAINABLE for players that are in those countries where the Casino won't be available, and the reasoning for it is even more pathetic:

This is a long shot, but does anyone have the Unified Soundtrack mod for Gran Turismo 4 US retail release? I can only find the link for the Online Public Beta version. It seems the link to the retail version has rotted away and GTPlanet members are unbelievable faggots.

Nacon's Season 4 Reveal and Year 2 Roadmap video is out:
The fact that they're even going to do a Season 2 is literally asking how the fuck do they have the funds to keep this game afloat, because the player count is dismal. And labeling QOL features, bug fixes, and cross-region and car selling being "works in progress" sounds like a shitshow too.
Kaz posted the teaser picture last week for this week's upcoming update with 3 cars:
It appears to be YET ANOTHER Nissan Skyline R34, the Honda N-ONE, and the Nissan Qashqai. The Qashqai stands out (in a REALLY bad way), because not only is it an SUV and one of Nissan's best-selling models, it also has a negative reputation due to its drivers being reckless and tending to crash with it. It basically is the European equivalent of the Nissan Altima in the US and the Big Altima Energy phenomenon there.
Ironically enough though, Gran Turismo adding an Altima to the game would actually be a much better decision, since it appeals to the everyday economy car crowd, and also appeals to the memes of Big Altima Energy.

From the first hour of Midnight Club: Los Angeles, R*'s rendition of Los Angeles is breathtaking to cruise, race, even view from a bird's eye view. The several brands of product placement from landmarks and stores make the city feel alive that other open worlds would dream to replicate. Even to this day, it produces the best car models and cockpit view I've seen in a racing game yet. The mini-map is too small to understand shortcuts or side streets.

Project Cars 3 will be delisted from storefronts next month, and its online servers will be shut down next February.
Given how badly the game flopped because of the decision to use arcade physics, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner.

The last I remember from Midnight Club was LA Remix on the PSP. LA Remix is a companion title for Midnight Club: Los Angeles, the console version. The Los Angeles in LA Remix is modeled from Midnight Club 2, but with a few added elements from the console versions. Also, there's a Tokyo career mode after 100% the Los Angeles career, which Tokyo is modeled from 3: DUB Edition.
Customization from the console version is intact, police do not appear in free roam, the music is shared between them, the LA career is similar minus the cutscenes, you can only race four opponents at a time. It's a faithful conversion of Midnight Club on the go.

I find myself always returning to Dirt Rally 2.0, I had it in my library for a few years, could not figure out the controls on a controller, but finally spent some time learning the mechanics.
Making my way through historic, and feeling comfy with group A, I am in love with the game now. How difficult it is makes the ride enjoyable, Forza horizon seems like child's play now compared to dirt. Growing up I had played alot of Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 1 with my dad, and since I'm on a PC now it satisfying having a difficult racing game.
I've heard negative things from the WRC franchise, and am happy I have a copy of dirt. It's nice not having any hand holding, (steering assist, a map, "turbo nos") and actually feeling the power difference from group B to A. Group B's still get a little squirrelly on me, but it's a good laugh to plow into a tree in Finland going 90+ km/h.
The weight, the engine torque, and even terrain are felt whilst you drive, 5 left into sudden 2 right brings fear into me, but learning how to throw the car sideways and still get exit speed is simply the best. RIP codemasters
