TNO is not the only mod getting space content, There is an upcoming mod being made right now called Over the Horizon that has satellite orbital mechanics and the whole Solar System has it's own screen map as well.

They cut possible US Mars landing , because muh realism, but Turkish/Argentinian participation in space race is totally realistic. If you want to go this route . Just make it generic decisions and tech , but make it soo expensive only Majors can really afford it.

I think argentina is just screwed in that regard but for the brit’s they have gambia and kenya. alternatively, they do get the caribbean if they go hmmlr so they could possible launch from Jamaica or guyana
The equator thing isn’t a super big deal because the soviet union was no where near the equator and they launched all their rockets from Kazakhstan
