Even more confusing since most of Russia should be a Britannia colony/puppet state. I don't think Communism meaningfully even exists in Code Geass, the Soviet Union never did in its lore.

It would actually be part of the EU. As in their world Napoleon was successful and even made Russia part of his giant Europe. Code Geass lore gets really confusing.

The code geass lore is very retarded. It’s a good anime but the world building is utterly atrocious. Europes borders are the exact same as otl even though it makes no sense, the chinese federation is both simultaneously a monarchy and a communist super state, imperial japan apparently wasn’t a thing either, the britainian king has 100s of concubines despite britannia being christian and european kings being strictly monogamous, and I could go on and on.
I could seriously tear code geass a new one just by doing a cursory glance at its lore, It’s so fucking bad man
