/r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

playing some old world blues and came upon this interesting namelist entry and unit leader in the deadline

Although he’s a homosexual that unironically thinks that The Handmaidens Tale is somehow reflective of…anything, the video was correct in saying that nothing ever happens in modern TNO.

Also, the absolute state of Paradox fans that have to do some gay retarded apologetics every time they do the NatSoc paths is so retarded like this game is way too shallow to make you effectively root for an ideology.

the original novel was basically just "what if the Iranian Revolution happened in America?" and for that merit, it does the job.
its just retarded when people try to make THT into something bigger like commentary on muh gender wars, drumpf or even as an actual alternate history scenario.
some people call it the 'pinnacle of Canadian literature' which is funny because the story isn't even set in Canada

why are they all worms
they're from deadline, which seems to be a horde of wanamingos

one of the nations in nebraska that just has some skeleton content
honestly more enjoyable than some of the more fleshed out nations because you can just focus on blobbing out instead of having to do a boring focus tree
they're also one of few nations that get sophisticated creature tech

Apparently they've abandoned the planned content for that area, so the current game loop will be there for a while.

The lore behind the area has always seemed the strangest to me, all I remember being mentioned about the Midwest in Fallout 1 was there were mile wide twisters. I'm still not sure what the mod has planned for the story there despite playing most of the nations. Seems to be something about an infection/FEV experiment that went wrong.

He's pretty on point, though the part about "the medium is the message" is pure fanfiction. We know why TNO is in Hoi4 and thats because it was originally meant for Vicky 2 but its way easier to mod for the former than latter.

I guess the Iberia union stays in the Last Days of Europe version, somehow without Atlantatropa and the seizer of Angola and Mozambique.

Several years in rework hell because they redid the entire premise of the mod from scratch. The original reason for the hostility with Germany, the Triumvirate, the erasure of Portugal's empire at German hands and much more is in the dustbin and the rework has just put them back at the new square one. Imagine where they'd be with all the talent they have/had if they hadn't done the entire setting from scratch.

If they get it out at least I'll count it as another win for the LATAM crew because it seems like the sons of Spain and Portugal are the only people getting content any more.

For all that the TNO devs screech about realism they just have Portugal and Spain unify for no reason? In fear of a Germany that in the new lore hasn't wronged them and indeed would still serve the role of Franco's main backer in the civil war? Maybe I missed something but have they even stated any reason for it to exist in the new lore?

TNO dev - "Well you see these two dictators, Franco and Salazar would love to share power with each other for no reason. Salazar would have totally been against the OFN even if Portugal was pro Bitish in the war and a founding member of NATO in real life."

To be honest, I see Salazar as somewhat of an opportunist with only nominal British leanings. I think his pressuring Franco out of the war was moreso because he knew that the British would just invade Portugal a la Norway and use it as a beachhead into Yurop and that Spain couldn't even add all that much to the Axis since it just came out of a civil war right as the war had started.

Caught up on the thread. It is comforting to see not even Christmas can halt the hoi4 retard train.

I have returned from Abkhazian prison to bring you good news. Krasnoyarsk is just about finished! There are a few pieces of gfx and some sound effects but that should be it.

@Rome's rightful successor has also been kind enough to provide files from TNO The Community Expansion (a dead submod as I understand). This includes full content for Yugra!

Furthermore St. George also had some partially complete content! The focus trees are coded with lots of localization. However, some of the gfx is improperly coded, Antipin's tree has no gfx, some localization is missing, and 2/3s of the gui mechanics were uncoded. I have starting working on the latter most issue.

@Sooty Soot asked a few months ago for Bugundian Lullaby so here it is along with other songs I scraped from TCE

If anyone knows how to fix the default map view and make it darker again, I'd appreciate the guidance.

Ideally will have Yugra and Krasnoyarsk pushed to the steam version some time next week.
