No, believe it or not it’s perfectly normal for people, especially kids, to have some level of curiosity as to the experiences and existence of the other sex. I think egg cracking deserves to be specifically highlighted in some way, because it's it's something that has become relatively mainstream, or at least something they feel comfortable openly talking about. For a few years now, I've been seeing articles from semi-reputable lefty publications discussing the topic favorably.

I did a little more reading on this, apparently the goal is to make someone think they came up with the idea that they're trans on their own. So it's textbook indeed; this is a tactic pulled straight out of How to Win Friends and Influence People (part 3, principle 7: "Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers."). It also has the added bonus of plausible deniability as the new troon could go "how was I groomed when I figured this out all by myself?"

It makes me wonder if it's possible to counter grooming by intentionally breaking or otherwise leveraging this directive of theirs.

Gender-cult groupthink (troonthink? might as well give it a name) is a fucky ideology has gone from well meaning if terribly, stupidly executed roots of not being bound by sex roles into "everything is gender, and gender is everything and also nothing, unless you're the platonic ideal of your own sex you're really an egg." It's fucking dangerous.

It's completely detached from reality, too, because it's doubling down on the sex binary but instead calling it gender and also puts troons on a pedestal, saying it's their job to educate normies about anything to do with identity or sexuality.
