Looking back on Cringe Culture in general, I can see why it died (or at least its first incarnation died after its golden years).

It got too political (in this case, a lot of the cringe consumers started to adopt far-right extremism) which destroyed the community.

The moral of the story here is don't mix politics with a hobby, it's like two dicks and no bitch and you'll find yourself in some serious shit.

Like so many things on the internet, it was fun until it became political.

It's why you should separate your hobbies from your personal politics.

The most cringeworthy communities (no pun intended) I've seen tend to include politics in them (be it left-wing or right-wing). Fascism and Communism doesn't belong in any hobby.
