You jest, but at least the data that HTML5 collects and stores happens through the browser, so extensions have more control over it. Remember Flash cookies?

I found an old CD-R with a pirated copy of an ancient version of Flash from around 2001, and played around with it to make some shitpost-esque animations.
On the bright side, it ran just fine on Windows 10, but the animations it spat out were just as janky and slow as they were 20 years ago. Even rendering to .avi files spat out uncompressed, perplexingly shitty quality media despite the file sizes being staggeringly enormous.
I got that copy of Flash on KaZaA, by the way.

They're actually working on converting the site to HTML 5, problem is they have Terabytes worth of content they have to convert and the only thing that's HTML5 compatible right now is the main page and a remake of Trogdor, as Wingus posted.

Earlier this year I had a college course that required us to use a website that used Adobe Flash.
Hilariously, a lot of people couldn't figure out how to get it to work since Adobe hasn't been an automatic add-on in years. Even more hilariously is that this site is eventually going to go under and I don't know if this professor will realize it because she's not very skilled with technology.

Flash as a whole is still, all these years later, a better multimedia solution than HTML5.
The problem was that it was used everywhere you didn't need multimedia as well.
Ruffle is looking interesting.
Here's hoping at least one of these solutions gets to the stage of "drop in library" so old sites can still function to a degree.

That's a market that probably won't die off, that and shit like Newgrounds or flash game websites will be the entirety of the flash market. I have no issues with that, but a lot of astoundingly large names in the tech field are still using flash for their web tools and show no signs of even TRYING to get ahead of the EOL. Why do that when you can just say "Doesn't work in chrome :^)" on your main page? Adding that line's a lot cheaper than a retrofit.
