Short version: Hollywood celebrities bad, off with their heads. Baldwin was probably the target of choice because he was SNL's Trump impersonator a few times and was front-page news a few months ago for accidentally killing someone on a movie set.

Longer version: RRN has been claiming for months, maybe over a year at this point, that a secret police and court martial system have been systematically arresting and executing anyone who opposed Donald Trump or was even vaguely connected to the Obama/Bush Jr. administrations or Hillary Clinton. For very high profile people like Anthony Fauci they were guilty of a vast conspiracy to enslave the US, for people who really haven't done much wrong they're revealed to be Satanist, a pedophile, a Nazi or all of the above - it's ridiculous but claims of secret Satanist pedo rings go back to at least Pizzagate in the mid-2010s. Alex Jones has also claimed there are secret Satanist pedophiles out there but I'm not sure how long he's been pushing that.

Unfortunately for RRN there are a finite number of high profile people who can get worked into this fanfiction, so we've gone from ridiculous claims like executing Dick Cheney or Putin participating in front-line operations to executing Obama's AG and now Alec Baldwin. Between the low-entertainment targets and these "stories" turning into copy-pastes this thread has generally gotten bored with that site.

Yeah they'd totally go for hard targets who are, to some degree, prepared for violent assaults like politicians who have armed guards and tons of other security, or fucking police stations full of dudes with bullet-proof vests and rifles. There's no way they'd go for soft targets where people basically never expect to be harmed like a supermarket or a school.

That's the problem with most conspiracy theorists. They're too stupid to understand nuance and how the world works, so they need to rewrite everything into something they understand. Flat Earthers are the best example. "Durrr the ground is flat so EARTH IS FLAT"

Precisely. Personally, the funniest part about this horseshit is how these high profile guys always do everything in person. Like with Trump personally prosecuting Alec Baldwin instead of having literally anyone else in the Judge Advocate General's Corps prosecute them as happens in actual Military Tribunals. A fucking quick google search brought me this information, together with what Military Courts are for, which should ring some bells on the heads of the average person. Doesn't work on QTards precisely because they simply dismiss sources that don't ring true with whatever horseshit they believe in, some fucking random talking out of his ass on YouTube or Telegram is always right, factual sources backed by punctual evidence aren't: All because, deep down, the people these grifting assholes prey on are usually emotionally and/or mentally unwell and get off on the sense of community that comes with these groups!

Just look out for videos of people serving "Queen" Romana's Cease and Desist notices, almost always it's some old man/woman going to a random place and telling them to stop following the State's Health Guidelines. Elders often suffer from loneliness and neglect, together with a lack of familiarity with modern technology, making them stellar prey for scammers, grifters and the like. These guys target them for the same reasons as scammers and other piles of horseshit do, and they often run their own grifts and scams as well during their peddling of horseshit!

Flat Earth is the easiest conspiracy to debunk, people in Medieval times didn't fall for this horseshit. The problem with other conspiracies is that they are, ironically, more nuanced due to being based on more complex and divided topics such as politics. Mainstream politics are rife with emotional rhetoric and the discussions often aren't as factually punctual as they are in scientific topics, and with the rise of partidarism in the media back in the early 2010's, coupled with unprofessional and unethical biases, many people lost trust in the conventional media sources, stopped trusting fact checkers even when they provided accurate analysis backed by evidence, something that also happened in mainstream Social Media. This enabled the assholes behind QAnon to develop a sizeable following, and gave a head start to "alternative media" sources that are pure propaganda horseshit. Which really fucking sucks for Democracy as a system!

That one guy is so, so close to realizing how Too Much Internet Syndrome is rotting his brain to the detriment of his personal life and those around him. Too bad his solution is to apparently just cut down the internet (not a bad idea) and live like a misanthropic hermit (ehhh, your kids still need to go to ballet class champ).
