It's a number of different "thing" months and i remember a few years ago journos framed the other things like dinosaurs (because jurassic park release month) as a far right hate campaign hoax because people were actively avoiding talking about pride month because they were fucking sick of the rainbow flag merch spam that didn't sell for like several years.

I had a buddy who once had a fag co-worker who asked him out and he was actually polite and said he was flattered but was straight which was the truth, but the fag couldn't accept that and kept insisting he was gay and kept asking him out. After a few weeks of it my friend finally snapped and yelled "Yes I'm gay I love the cock, but I just don't want to date or fuck you does that make you feel better?".
