Without powerleveling too much, I lived in a relatively blue area of a swing state and worked for Target two years ago during the big boycott over the tranny child underwear shit. The store was dead the entire month and peers who felt safe to do so confided that they agreed with the boycott. My store was down ~60% in the first week and I believe the company as a whole ate an $8bil loss in that short time. I literally got paid to come in and play cards with a front-end supervisor because there was that little to do. Then, overnight the Pride section was unmade like a Stalinist official that had fallen out of the Party's favor. HR were as opaque on the matter as possible and would get pissy if you discussed it. I asked why we didn't just do Pride all year and said it seemed pretty homophobic to hide it and just got glares in response.

The slowdown on Pride didn't appear out of nowhere, this correction has been coming for awhile.

Excellent representation of the modern US paradigm

Option A) Celebrating homo shit
Option B) Celebrating massively government subsidized, low quality foodstuff that makes everyone fat and sickly. Did you know back in the 70s the government gave $2 billion to dairy farmers, then bought all their excess dairy and literally partnered with restaurants/food companies to devise ways to stuff more of it into recipes to offload it? There was so much excess cheese someone from the USDA actually said "The cheapest and most practical thing to do would be to dump it in the ocean". Most of it rotted, at taxpayer expense, just to save the cheese.

That was under Reagan too, who was supposedly anti-welfare, and Trump has said he wants to give money away to them too ($28 million so far). Just a reminder that both parties love taking taxpayer money and spending it on shit nobody needs.

Tbh if you eat dairy you're pretty much worse than a homosexual, so.

An entire day and I have seen a singular pride month post, nature really is healing compared to the unbearable spam previous. Best part was the post was about how lgbtqaahigevhka+ centric latex is as a kink despite being one of the most common things going.

I look forward to this year's kink at pride debate. Kinks firmly belong at pride, kinks belong there not children. I just think it's important to show what you're proud of to the general public, let them know everything you do. Make sure that the parade goes by the local mosques too, just to make sure they know how proud you are too :)

Pride parades, functionally, are Protestant cultures accidentally reinventing Catholic Mardi Gras. I went to one last year and it was obvious that was what it was. There were lots of families there, and a general "party" atmosphere, and the handful of people there in kink/fetish gear stuck out like flies in milk.

If you're mad about pride parades then you're taking what they're supposedly "about" too much at face value. They're not public sex orgies, and they barely have an element of political protest to them anymore. It's secular western society (with Protestant roots) unknowingly recreating the structure and and spirit of carnival festivals.

That black guy from 4chan who gave that troll interview about how white people are always "drinking milk in public OBNOXIOUSLY" has actually become a real talking point through more Trump meme magic. It is now an alt-right dogwhistle to just really enjoy milk in public because it's milk month and nothing else worth celebrating is happening right now.
