Well, from Brian Hugh Warner, his stage name of Marilyn Manson was him combining the names of Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson together as they were two iconic figures from the 1960s.

I don't like how Marilyn nowadays is associated with HIM.

I think that Harlow has more sex appeal than Monroe, personally. That said, they will both be missed.

She was curvy, not fat. You look at any photo of her or watch any movie and can clearly see she had a defined waist, hips, and bust. But not fat aside from an actual healthy amount. The problem is that jealous and insecure ham hags who have no impulse control try to "claim" her and muddy the waters by conflating her having a curvy body with the countless fat rolls on their amorphously blobular bodies. I read somewhere that Marilyn Monroe, unlike many "sex kitten" types, was popular with women, because she didn't feel predatory or threatening. I can see that..,I could see being her friend, as opposed to Bette Davis and a lot of those "fierce" women actresses.

I always felt it said a lot for her that Joe DiMaggio loved her to death and beyond.

Agreed. I would think because of how iconic, inviting and shy Monroe was, she was less menacing but massive enough to where any man could not just "have" her.
