There seem to be a lot of patterns in topics in events & news. Obviously, Islamic Content is a big one, right now half of the top ten stories are Islamic Terrorism related. But there's also SJW bullshit/anything that happens at a liberal college, anything that happens in Florida, European politics, weird news (usually overlaps with Florida) and probably a few other trends I can't think of at the moment. There are enough common themes that I don't think there would have to be too many tags, and it would make the subforum a lot more lively looking.

we also need a shitting street tag

add a IT'S HAPPENING one so we can finish our metamorphoses and become /pol/

Suggest a series of tags that best encompass the most common types of news shared here, and I'll see about getting 'em put in.

[SJWs] for SJW-ish stuff (SJWs trying to ban things)
[/pol/] for politics
[Gay] for news about Gays
[Autistic] for news about autism rights
[Trannys] for news about trannys
[Ovens] for news about any new developments in bakery ware.

I don't really like the tag system- I don't have autism and don't get the need to categorize everything with coloured labels.

That said if people insist these would imo suit-
politics
Islamic
Shooting
Animal news
Economics
Tech
Cuckholdry (for the sjws)
Dickgirls
Obit

It has less to do with compulsive categorization and more to do with quick-filtering. I often use the "Lolcow" tag in the Lolcow board because most of what I look at is tagged green. I'm sure most people do something similar.

Fair enough, I'd be interested to know how many users actually use that function.

I'm not convinced En is busy enough for it to be useful either.

But its no big deal- I won't throw a fit if people want them.

The thread prefixes are pretty useful on the ADF and Chris boards, since you can bring up old topics by subject matter,I've found.

I definitely do this too. Mainly for career, rat king, or if I remember a thread that's dropped off the front page and I remembered the tag so there's less shit to sift through to get to it again.

My thinking was it's less for sorting and more for fun and to show trends on the board.
