I still think the game itself isn't the main issue. People unintentionally deflecting for lolicons by getting swept up in culture war bullshit was always my issue. I should be able to point out retarded lolicons without someone denying their existence and calling me an antinatalist leftist.

The game itself was never the issue. It's pedoniggers that go around publicly saying how much they wanna lick the kid's tummy as well as anti-natalist weirdos trying to say this is some psyop to make white and japanese people have kids. The right isn't much better.

Every attitude everyone has about this game seems to have been instilled by its throw-everything-at-the-wall marketing campaign (and late narrative/design decisions aimed at becoming talking points in that campaign).

The game itself—the part you play, not talk about—appears (from some fragmentary viewing of sponsored streams of it) to be unfinished and really shitty, like it repeatedly failed in development so they clearance-saled it via "controversy" (several). I don't know its history, but I know it's been advertised as coming soon for years. Suspicious.

This has been my general stance too, from what I've seen from it the general gameplay is the most generic of AAA slop that has come out this year. Same issue I had with Prime 4, it seems like they were solely going off of a checklist for AAA games but gave up halfway through so it's just this half-assed soup of a game. It does really feel like they were banking on the lolicon market to go crazy over it so it didn't immediately fade into obscurity like the previously mentioned Metroid game.

My problem with that is I never actually saw anyone like that trashing the game (other than Hasan, and that was after).
