Music can be so powerful at times. I recently purchased Billy Idol's Rebel Yell, the last track on that album is a song called "The Dead Next Door". The song in general is very thought provoking but there were two lyrics that still stick out to me 'Ghosts don't die' and Ghosts don't cry', there's something really meaningful there.

I also find myself listening to Andrea Bocelli and two of his songs stick out as moving to me "Canto Della Terra" and" Il Mare Calmo Della Serra" to be particularly moving in my opinion especially once translated to English.

Does anyone else find songs to be particularly moving?

People posting weak shit when there was an entire decade of powerful music:

Leading off the pack is Hamburger Concerto from the album of the same name by the band Focus. A wonderful mashup of classical, rock, jazz, and gospel that even throws an whole-ass Dutch Christmas carol as a build-up to one of the greatest heavy drops in music.

Second is another long-form song: Close to the Edge by Yes; again a titular title. Again, it has a masterful build and climax in the same vein as Hamburger Concerto.

Finally, a shorter song: My God by Jethro Tull, from the album Aqualung. Basically a seven minute diatribe telling the Church of England to go fuck itself, from an album with three other songs with the exact lyrical theme.
