MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 7 earthquake struck inland in the northern province of Abra Wednesday morning, killing at least one person and badly damaging buildings and roads, and sending strong tremors through Metro Manila.

The strong quake centered two kilometers northeast of Langilang, Abra, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.

Its magnitude was initially placed at 7.3.

I can relate, earthquakes here can get nasty too, i still remember the shit show when a big one hit like 5 years ago, hope they're doing well.

Talked to my friend down in Angeles City last night. It's 200 miles or so to the south and they felt it there too, thankfully no severe damage there.

Geez, that's terrifying. My area's supposed to have a huge earthquake sometime in the last few decades, but it never came.
