I'm gonna buy it now, I feel like supporting RWS, but I'm not going to play it until it's fully released.

Not a good idea to play it while it's a janky mess as it can ruin first impressions, plus only one day and no save state can ruin the fun if you get some cool stuff and lose it all whenever you turn the game off.

Postal 2 is a very bad game, but it's also interesting as a historical curiosity. It will never not be tasteless, but the level of wanton, kill-'em-all violence that used to cause shocked gasps and wrung hands is now pretty much par for the course. It makes me think of the twin-stick shooter Hatred, which was released in 2015: It too was violent and tasteless, and not especially good, but the biggest controversy surrounding its launch was its removal from Steam Greenlight, a decision which was quickly reversed by Valve.

I’ve played through Postal Redux, and it is awesome. The postal games are interesting when you realize the context of when they were released.
Also why does Hatred still have an adults only rating? It’s not even that graphic.

I have no idea really, unless the devs bribed someone nothing about the game indicated that rating. Hell, Ive see executions in Manhunt 1-2 and Punisher 2005 being more graphic. Plus, the trailer lied since there isnt a promised flamethrower execution or a grenade one.

On their website, they have a section on the about page dedicated to all the awards and honors they’ve won, even though most of them are terrible, it’s hilarious.

Postal III says otherwise, which was made by a Russian developer. They are ashamed of that game because it was broken and bad. It does show that they have pride in their products.
