Been ages since I last drew anything Escaflowne-related.
Not sure about brushes, but I know Clip Studio does have some assets you can play with, if you're interested. A lot of them are free, but there are some you need to pay for. I haven't really tried them, so I can't really give a recommendation; you'll have to try them yourself. So I'm at a bit of an impasse, kindof.
Digital is the cheaper route thusfar, but I never really played around with just using graphite and some blending sticks. I like how it looks here.
Are there blending brushes somewhere that do a better job of emulating the real-deal? I'm already fairly disappointed in how most graphite brushes imitate pressure with a pencil, though I imagine I could really dig under the hood to fine-tune the brush behavior more. The blending brushes also seem like they have very different applications meant more for color than this effect.
Is it worth trying to get a digital emulation of pencil & paper, or am I going to have better luck just buying the physical supplies and scanning the shit for touch-up later on? I've got Clip, fwiw with the digital shit.
Rather than going with a physical shield, maybe go with an energy one.Ver archivo adjunto 1751197

Transforming mech concept. Haven't decided on a shield configuration yet. Any input you guys have would be great.
nice idea, though I was planning on having the shield function as a multi-purpose item, like a mix of a shield, a drone and a missile pod.Rather than going with a physical shield, maybe go with an energy one.
