Relatively small, so detail was difficult, especially since this is my first project requiring any kind of advanced level of skill. I have a lot of experience drawing, but I'm pretty new to sculpting. The funny thing is, I actually like it a bit more.

I'd recommend using separate layers for certain parts of the drawing like for the shading and aftereffects. It's a bit tedious to keep track of the layers but that way you wouldn't need to erase everything if you make a mistake.

hey folks, fresh and new to the farms and thought i'd start off on a tame thread.
Recently did one of those redraw things all the cool kids do of my boi ("original character do not steal XD XD XD" and all that ), one and a half years at art school and counting between them, let me know what y'all think ( in 2 years I learned to draw at a respectable file size at least, and lesson the edge slightly)!

You know, I've always been meaning to ask you Curt, but are you inspired a bit by Archie comics?
The faces remind me a lot of Dan DiCarlo's work especially at times.

I'm inspired by a ton of artists from Windy Pini to Vaughn Bode, and many of the old Warren/Skywald comics.
The "Archie" thing usually arises due to the eyes I draw on OCs like Pega, but I use other drawing styles too...

That being said heres vent doodle i made when i felt sad that i still like the mood of
Lotsa big strokes and colors over anatomy and accuracy, very cathartic

Basically inspired by experiences with food insecurity and also the anxiety of seeing your body deteriorate due to a sickness beyond your control
