You should look up "landscape sketching in pen and ink" by Donald Maxwell. It's from 1932 and is an amazing source of insight/inspiration for these types of ink drawings.

Constant self-deprecation is silly enough, but using the imageboard equivalent of le heckin' doggerino slang to do it is plain unforgivable. It's undeserved and also just really aggravating to see.
