its quite fun to toy with the black and white color setting on my cannon t4i.
Sadly the kit lens that came with its complete shit for night shootings unless you have a tripod.

How many megapixels is your camera? Now it seems like phone cameras have such high megapixel that the lens is the only thing that makes regular cameras better. I think there is only a 4-5 megapixel difference between my phone and my regular camera, but the high quality camera lens really makes a difference. My regular camera is a shitty, cheap American Kodak, but the lens is a good quality Zeiss.

For digital art, I am practicing making low-effort backgrounds that don't look too low effort.
