Been trying some tips from earlier days, remember posting a couple of pics in this thread way back.

Ever get that kick in the gut that just motivates you? Might be TMI, but this year feels like the one i should actually try to focus more on stuff i wanna do, and actively pursue it. Always wanted to create stories, movies, comics, visual storytelling, and this'll be the year where ill work my ass off to get something published, even if it's a self endeavor.

Anyways, i would love to hear any advice, feedback, criticisms... The stuff i receive from this thread has been what has made my work improve the most, and i really appreciate it

This is seriously good and you should post it in the Art for Null thread unless you explicitly don't want Bossmanjosh to see it (cause he doesn't check here).
The composition, all the references worked in, the linework... the huge metal fan. 👍 Well done!

I can vibe with this. Godspeed to you. As for the feedback:

1. It's general good sense to erase EXIF data from your images; check out Scrambled Exif for Android, link alternatively ExifTool link for desktop Meaty, thick lines almost everywhere it matters - take a look at the tunic, specifically the layered bits: why emphasize JUST the outline? Give those... leather scrap edges?.. some love too. Highlighted blue. Very nice except for the (what I believe are) problem areas, highlighted in red.
2. Never be ashamed of using extra tools to draw perfect circles, squares, straight lines etc - you're not Leonardo and this isn't an exam. You want the stuff to look good, right? Subject: the halo. Check out what you could do with a compass here (highlighted in green).
3. Get a titanium pencil! Nothing gives extra life to a pencil drawing like some light. Highlighted yellow.

4. I'd overall rate the image as alright. Zombie viking fantasy is not really my cup of tea, so apologies for not being all that enthusiastic. The anatomy, as far as I can tell, works; the lower chest is a little dark compared to the very bottom of the image. Small tip: look at your pic from a distance from time to time to more easily spot problems.

P.S. I am not a professional and don't know shit about fuck know only a little about "properly" drawing stuff, so a grain of salt would be recommended to go with this post. Yu VILL continue to solicit opinions about your drawings und yu VILL get better.
Throwing in the summary of my KF drawings so far, the first half of which is from the weekly drawing thread* (and one bit of Secret Santa, but don't tell anyone) and the second - from Doctor Spunk, a local comic thing link yeah I'm gonna continue to shill it.

*The format wasn't really working out, so I asked a mod to nuke it. Sorry macguyver16, Merried, DOUBLE_WHEEL. What I planned on doing instead is to post weekly in here come 2024 - the usual comments re: others' work tacked on. Like Psyduck, I'm gearing up for a productive year due to outside circumstances lol.

I love my friends and relatives in real life, but none of them are really into the arts, so while they think my stuff looks awesome and i do appreciate that a lot, it doesnt really tell me what i need to improve on. Like i said before these art threads on the farms have been the only place where ive gotten solid advice and links to useful tips

Based on this image alone, I'd say dig a little into how light works. This video would come in handy - it's short, informative and (most importantly) not as intimidating as others.

One can very easily get lost in all the tutorials out there. Never FOMO - they aren't going anywhere and you can always find another. Another small but important tip: just draw for fun a lot and you'll build enough confidence/experience to absolutely bulldoze through your art course of choice when the time comes to take one. When that time is, you will know.

Honestly? I don't have a lot of feedback because it is looking great

I think the foreshortening on the fists could be a little subtler, as in the hands look too big.

It's looking great! Solid pencil good work

Thank you! Im currently working on a similar one, so ill work on the proportions and hopefully it comes out even better than this one

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to post art here more often (without powerleveling too much ;) ) and do more studies. I focus a lot on finished pieces but haven't taken the time to hunker down and practice.
