I really didn't think this was going to bother me that much but it does and I can't pretend it doesn't. For context, I've been out socially as trans for 3 years, on T for 6 months, mostly pass and almost never get misgendered.

Except by cis gay men. Whenever I'm in a gay bar or other queer space, I will always get she/her'd by most of the cis gay men I meet. Other queer people are always very respectful, but cis gays seem to just see me as a woman. And it hurts. I'm a gay man too, yet somehow they can't see that. It makes me feel horrible, like all of my effort I've put into my transition will never matter and I will always just be "a woman" to them.
