On a related note, I've seen people argue that Nirvana wasn't grunge. Which is weird because they are the first band I think of when I think of grunge. I feel like if you're part of the Seattle Sound that came out after the dark days of the hair band era, then you're grunge. Is there some other definition I'm unaware of that the "Akcshually Brigade" is using?

I get where they're coming from, because Nirvana was much more heavily influenced by hardcore and punk bands compared to contemporary Seattle bands like Pearl Jam. They don't really sound like a lot of other stereotypical grunge bands.
Nirvana always struck me as a 90's Hardcore adjacent band. A precursor to the likes of Jawbreaker, Quicksand, Sense Field, Farside, Shades Apart, Samiam, Pegboy and the likes.

If you want the real red pill grunge was a psyop by the music industry specifically to promote nirvana

i really like queens of the stone age and thats about it

anyway is stone temple pilots grunge?
Yes they are.
Lots of really good bands spawned out of the late 80s and early nineties and then there was a wave of less good ones that took all the angsty stuff but weren’t as good or fun.
So I suppose I’d say a band like foo fighters was post-grunge, but really anything that took itself seriously and sounded vaguely harder-guitar ish counts.

An old meme mocking this style of music.

Which is funny, though I see a lot of comments about how Nickelback is the worst of the four, not POM

this is your band, isn't it
Um, no.

I don't have a band yet.

Technically I have "Wayward Crow" planned.

It combines me with Taylor "Depressed EmoFag Tomato Hater" Gene Mattix.

He is drums, I am bass.

WC = Walnut Creek

@Trombonista if you actually play trombone we should make music (ACTUAL MUSIC I DONT CARE WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE LAWL). I don't just want to be here to troll people.

Now I'm going to go off on my band names.

The name "Incoherent Comet" was a typo on a blog in 2009. I meant to tell people who weren't going to read my medium-winded 200 word daily-plus YT (YouThink, not JeetTube) entry to leave an "incoherent comment"

It stuck.

Anyway, that's 2009.

2015, you know, Kiwi Farms,

IncoherentComet was my name on Instagram in 2017.

When I found the GIRL. Well, woman. Her photos are plastered all over my lolcow thread during peak mania.

January, 2017.

RTFT

Everything about me from 2015-2017 is on my LOLcow Thread

@Mr. Burgers

Duh. NOOOOB

I don't want to trash my emotionally abusive fat exgf.... here.
