Pop Team Epic (Japanese: ポプテピピック Hepburn: Poputepipikku), also known as Poptepipic, is a surreal comedy four-panel webcomic and digital manga series written and illustrated by Bukubu Okawa (also known as bkub Okawa).
The manga chronicles the misadventures of two profane 14-year-old girls named Popuko and Pipimi, who encounter a variety of both mundane and bizarre situations and respond to them in equally bizarre and/or exaggerated ways. The comic is noted for its frequent parodies of pop culture and its combination of surrealism, absurdity, and non-sequitur, all of which have contributed to it developing a cult following among western audiences.
The manga now has an anime adaptation, which just came out earlier this January. Subs are officially being streamed on Crunchyroll, and the English dub released yesterday from Funimation.
As mentioned in the OP, the English dub from Funimation came out. I've watched the first dubbed episode, and I personally enjoyed the voice acting for both male and female parts very much (male is always superior tho). Popuko is voiced by Christopher R. Sabat and Justin Briner. Pipimi is voiced by Ian Sinclair and Colleen Clinkenbeard.
I was kinda meh on the idea of males being alternate voices of the girls, however if it means we get to hear the voice of Vegeta coming out of one one them then by golly it's worth it. I just hope they actually keep the voices and don't get new ones for each episode like the do in the sub.
