Labels are stupid and giving yourself one is even more so, because if anybody (at least in the US) thought about it for more than 30 seconds, they would realize that the Republicans and the Democrats are the same sets of rich dickbags who scam different parts of the population for votes. - I don't care who you fuck or how, as long as they're an adult. That being said, having fuckers in gimp suits and bondage gear in pride parades is gross and they need to cut that shit out, keep it in the bedroom.
- Americans tolerate an absurd amount of abuse from their employers generally, and the death of the American union has allowed companies to basically get away with cyberpunk dystopia type bullshit in certain industries, it needs to be stopped immediately.
- The FDA needs to be overhauled, and food in general needs to be massively regulated. Most American food is so processed it has close to 0 usable nutrients, and some of the shit they're allowed to put in food as a preservative is basically poison.
- Healthcare needs to be accessible to every American, and the price of insulin/medically necessary drugs that you cannot stop taking should be capped, period.
- Stop giving guns to regimes who have a proven track record of using them to blow up orphanages and shit, Israel can make their own damn weapons.
- America needs to transition off the petrodollar and off of fossil fuels, or our grandchildren will inherit hell on earth.

- Businesses are free to refuse service to any customer they wish for any reason, but they shouldn't expect to be protected from the consequences of those decisions. IE, if a bakery refuses to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple, they're free to do that, but they shouldn't be surprised when business takes a nosedive as word spreads on social media. That's the social aspect of the free market, and it shouldn't be interfered with.

- a strong military is an essential part of a strong nation, having a weapon is very different from actually using it.
- Gun ownership is a constitutional right, and it should never be infringed upon, and in general gun laws do basically nothing to stop gun crime, as criminals nearly always buy guns illegally, so over regulating people who chose to buy guns through legal means achieves basically nothing besides irritating responsible gun owners.
- While your book is not a branch of the government, it would be stupid to deny the fundamentally christian origins of both the nation, the people who founded it, and the moral system even the most militant reddit atheist adheres to.
- The 8 hour workday was instituted with the idea in mind that someone was at home keeping an eye on the house and the kids while the breadwinner was out working. Women entering the workforce is a good thing, but since the 70s, we've had a massive upsurge in productivity due to computers and general technological advancement. We're also seeing the effects of two whole generations growing up with both parents out of the house most of the time, and too tired to actually parent them when they ARE home, and those effects are decidedly not good. We can't have our cake and eat it too, we need to either go back to mainly nuclear families, or we need shorter work days, in 4 hours we can generally get the same amount of work done that an equivalent worker in the 50s could do in 2 days, it can happen.
- Welfare in America is seemingly purpose built for abuse, it needs to be reformed so that everyone's basic needs will always be met. I understand the pull yourself up by your bootstraps mentality, but how is one supposed to pursue their constitutionally guaranteed happiness if they are too concerned with not starving or freezing to death. This is definitely left leaning, but i put it down here because i want a hybrid system that makes sure everyone has a roof over their heads and something to eat, so they can focus on finding something to sustain themselves with, but doesn't allow them to cash in at food banks in a mercedes, or live on the dole without at least actively trying to find a job. It doesn't even have to be federally controlled, expanded funding for existing homeless shelters, free or at least deferred payment drug rehab, and some kind of charity lottery like the brits have all are smaller things that either aren't directly federal, or can be devolved to state and city authority.
