I personally don't think they are going to put someone who looks and smells like Chris into prison.

EDIT: They're going to have to put him outside in a cage.

To be honest, Chris is really screwed one way of another. Let's say they get a slap on the wrist for some reason, Chris is now basically homeless.

He will not be allowed back into 14 Branchland Court , because Barb will be staying there and most likely will have an order of protection. He will also have to relinquish every access to her accounts so that would mean he would not have money. I am not legal expert so I don't know if his tugboat would be hurt because of the conviction, however if it is he will really be in a pickle, he might be allowed to get some of his things under police supervision but we all know most of the things Chris has is just trash.

Now what would happen if Barb died while Chris was homeless/jail? Well the bank would default on the house and take it, most likely tossing everything out to the yard, where a horde of weens would be waiting to try to grab a piece of Christory or anything deemed "valuable" As for the pets, most likely they will stay with Barb until her eventual passing or their passing, whichever comes first.
