Are any romhacks even worth buying? I almost bought Goldfinger 64 but backed out.
Most romhack creators actually don't want people making and selling these carts because people steal the work, profit off it, on a project that's supposed to be free in the first place. So buying them is kind of retarded, you're meant to play them for free, and you're paying some chucklefuck to put it on a cart because people are too stupid/lazy to just modify the file themselves. (Not to mention you can use a device to run the roms you edited yourself like those emulation machines people sell now, plus most phones will run them for on the go play.)
If they're buying it just to add to a physical collection I feel that's different but that's rarely the case when people buy them.

All that aside as a TL;DR if you don't care about that: No, they usually don't work properly, have outdated versions, and the battery will run dry eventually because bootleg carts are reliant on them even on GBA.

Did this goofass really reg to the site just to larp as a high school girl on myspace down to the low INT posts and shill a romhack being sold on bootleg carts

The hacker name just reminded me I still haven't sat down to watch the non-hentai OVA yet. I should get on that.

Oh, and don't buy ROM-hacks the fuck you going on about? It sounds like fun, but I'm not going to pay for it.

All the better if the guy that made the thing gets nothing for his theft. That makes it that much sweeter.
Also, as an added note, some games literally do not function when put on a cart, unbound is one that's really known for this. You're either getting an excessively outdated version, or it won't work at all.

I am very fond of the (rare) romhacks that both produce a decent game and which also run on original hardware. Maybe I should come back around to Goldfinger 64.
