To be fair, I think this is more Kellogs fault than the pokemon company, they probably told kellogs that they can make pokemon poptarts again and kellog went "meh" and did this to be cheap. I mainly say this because if you look at Japanese promotional foods for shit they tend to go hamPokémon has a billion trillion dollars for ads at the Super Bowl and the Olympics, but can't be bothered to put a few bucks toward a new sprinkle press.
