I remember maybe fifteen years ago or so when plushie freaks were the first “WTF” fetish I read about online. They said at the time in some online post that the Meeko or Meeku or whatever raccoon from Pocohantas was the most sought-after plushie and could fetch a huge price for just one. There was a photo of some lad showing off his collection of ten or so. A person was quoted as explaining it by simply saying, “It’s the eyes.”

Now when I see these toys covered in shit and god knows what, that phrase haunts me.
